Yes, as the title says, very sharp from the off.
This is the third item I have purchased from Palosanto and have not been disappointed.
The edge beveler arrived in the suggested time via the Royal Mail (UK), the item was well protected with the shaft in a cork sleeve. The first time I used it, wow, so sharp and a pleasure to use.

I thought nothing would surprise me in my life anymore, and then I received a shipment from Palosanto factory and our life and work with leather changed completely. Huge shoutout to Palosanto Factory for these tools. The wood slicker has excellent form and function, and the wood grain is stunning. I was expecting red Amboyna, but the gold is beautiful. The wood has a great weight and density to it, and the finish is completely smooth—it leaves a gorgeous, glossy edge with very little effort. When I saw their edge beveler with that pistol handle and silver ring, I just couldn't resist adding it to my order. I’m so glad I did. It arrived crazy sharp and glides through leather like butter. Both tools look like art and work flawlessly.
